Antoni Muntadas

2003

Poster, 75.5 x 55.5 cm.
Materials: print on paper

Collection: Collection M HKA (Inv. no. M00148_a).

Poster with text TOUT VA BIEN in white letters on a photo-background with people sitting in the parlement. This poster is part of a triptych of three, all stating Tout va bien, in a bold letter, on a coloured background. As the sentence is written in French, the three posters are made to the colours of the french flag being red, white and blue. The blue poster represent the town where the community lives, white is for the parlaiment and red to indicate the protest of the people. It can be seen in a larger whole of posters Antoni Muntadas produced with the typical, sloganesque statements politicians make like Brasil... Tudo bem, tudo Bom (1999) or Colombia is doing well (1999).

About M HKA / Mission Statement

The M HKA is a museum for contemporary art, film and visual culture in its widest sense. It is an open place of encounter for art, artists and the public. The M HKA aspires to play a leading role in Flanders and to extend its international profile by building upon Antwerp's avant-garde tradition. The M HKA bridges the relationship between artistic questions and wider societal issues, between the international and the regional, artists and public, tradition and innovation, reflection and presentation. Central here is the museum's collection with its ongoing acquisitions, as well as related areas of management and research.
