La Collectionneuse is completely part of Barbara Cardinale’s art practice of. Her writing and her drawing are complementary related: the first generates images, the second generates stories. In La Collectionneuse, she created the two main characters in the same way that she creates a drawing, questioning the same themes and subjects, but from another angle.
