Literary synopsis *Blonde Girls* is a novella cobbled together from the diaries of four girls and one queer. Sean Monahan builds a loose narrative out of their secrets (as well as his own). Over 25 chapters, *Blonde Girls* attempts to speak both personally and impersonally; to embrace disclosure, while leaving the audience in doubt of who exactly is doing the disclosing. Available only as a PDF on a USB drive, the project prioritizes the instant replication of a Copy command over the mechanical reproduction of a printing press, fetishizing information rather than objects. Relation of the novel to the artist’s practice Information is real. Novels are an ambivalent form, unsure as to whether this is true or not. In words of the artist himself: “Blonde Girls deeply connects to other past works that were completed in conjunction with the novel. My current collaborative project, *K-HOLE* also relates broadly; though it was conceived of as extraneous to my personal practice, it maintains my formal interest in the PDF format and the inherent issues digital media creates for the editing of pieces”.
