M HKA gaat digitaal

M HKA goes digital

Embracing the possibilities of new media, M HKA is making a particular effort to share its knowledge and give art the framework it deserves.

We are currently focusing on the experience in the museum with this application for smartphones and tablets. In the future this will also lead to a versatile desktop version, which is now still in its construction phase.

° 1983

Born in Japan, lives in Antwerp (Belgium).

The work of Saori is based on the simultaneous elements of the existing space in the artwork, and that intersperses the various aspects. One is the studying her subject (lines, movement, rhythm, forms and volumes…) with object, drawing, ensemble and print, one is performance, and one is site-specific installation.

For all of her artworks Saori Kuno opts to use fragments from ordinary materials and collected objects related to everyday life, such as industrial products, remnants from construction, old writing paper from schools, a braid found on the street etc… These materials include elements of time and space, of existence, life, today and tomorrow.
