Ciarán Walsh

Born in IE, lives in Berlin (DE).

Ciarán Walsh takes a multimedia approach in his art practice, encompassing installation, written text, video and photography, and primarily utilises strategies of communication breakdown, failure and interruption to explore both personal and collective memory, actual and notional space, and the presence and absence of the body. He has had several solo exhibitions and taken part in numerous group exhibitions, including at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin (IRL), Kunsthalle Bratislava (SK), VISUAL – National Centre for Contemporary Art, Carlow (IRL), MAGO, Eisdvoll, (NO), Stedefreund, Berlin (DE), Project Arts Centre, Dublin (IRL), Mother’s Tankstation, Dublin (IRL). He has also curated several public art commissions, co-curated the ‘Reading Room’ archival project, and published the art-zine ‘Travelogue’. He lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
