(Authors of the novels: Rita McBride, Matthew Licht, Geoff Nicholson, Jack Pretzer, Roger Duffy, Dana Bauer, Gordon Wallace, Nick Briggs.)
Relation of the novel to the artist’s practice
Crimeways is the third book in the Ways series – anthologies of anonymously written stories which, put together, are "novels" that challenge traditional notions of narrative genres. In this case, the detective novel. Conceived by conceptual artist Rita McBride the book is co-published by Printed Matter, the Whitney Museum of American Art and Arsenal Pulp Press.
