The Book Lovers is een project van kunstenaar David Maroto en curator Joanna Zielińska. Op een systematische manier bestuderen ze het fenomeen van kunstenaarsnovelles. In het begin van de 20ste eeuw werd er al geëxperimenteerd met medium, maar het is vooral tijdens de laatste vijftien jaar dat een toenemend aantal kunstenaars gebruik gaat maken van dit artistieke medium. Met dit project willen de onderzoekers het publiek bewust maken van en vragen stellen bij deze stille wijdverbreide artistieke trend.
The Book Lovers maakt onderdeel uit van Collectie XXXII Persoonlijkheidstest, de eerste gemeenschappelijke collectiepresentatie van curators Anders Kreuger en Nav Haq. De tentoonstelling geldt als prelude op het collectie-overzicht dat de twee voorbereiden voor de zomer van 2013 en dat gepaard gaat met een nieuw collectieboek.
The Book Lovers reist verder en is vanaf 25 januari 2013 ook te zien in de The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, New York.
