Born in Sweden.
Kajsa Dahlberg (Sweden, 1973) questions representation and self-representation, in an art-specific sense but also politically. She uses textual documentation in a visually and spatially convincing whole. She privileges a female and feminist point of view. Female Fist (2006) explores the possibility of queer feminist pornography. Femø Women’s Camp 2008: Film and Agreement (2010) insists on the ‘policy document’ as a crucial component of do-it yourself democracy, but also of this particular video installation. Dahlberg’s work gives plastic form to concerns usually associated with activism.
