Joanne Tatham & Tom O’Sullivan have worked in collaboration since 1995 after meeting on the MFA programme at Glasgow School of Art. Their artworks often function as displacements or diversions and are situated between – and use – sculpture, painting, architecture, photography, performance, literature, institutional critique and curation. Their solo projects include A Tool for the Making of Signs at Chapter, Cardiff (2012), Direct Serious Action is Therefore Necessary at CCA, Glasgow (2010) and Does Your Contemplation of the Situation Fuck with the Flow of Circulation at Eastside Projects, Birmingham (2009). They have exhibited widely, with work in group exhibitions at Villa Arson, Nice; Musee d'art contemporaine, Lyon; Marres Centre for Contemporary Art, Maastricht; Frankfurter Kunstverein and Leeds Art Gallery in the last few years.
