Craigie Horsfield herdenkt met sociale projecten en met werk in verschillende media zoals video, fotografie, geluid, tekeningen, performance en installatie heersende opvattingen over maatschappij en individu. Horsfield gebruikt het begrip ‘slow time’ om zijn visie op geschiedenis als niet iets uit het verleden, dat los staat van onze ervaringen, maar als de verdieping van het heden te duiden. Het woord ‘relatie’ betekent voor Horsfield in de eerste plaats dat ‘zijn’ tot stand komt tussen individuen en in de tweede plaats dat ‘zijn’ vervat ligt in elke ontmoeting, elke bijeenkomst en elk gesprek.
